Come and See
Worship with us on Sundays at 10 am

We are happy

We are a friendly bunch, and we like one another.  Each Sunday we begin our liturgy in prayer as we prepare for worship.  It is said that Episcopalians stand to sing, sit to learn, and kneel to pray.  Well, we have no kneelers, so we stand to pray as well. We are genuinely excited to meet you.  If you read the information below, it will enhance your worship experience with us.

We are thankful

It is with appreciation that we note that we are the guests of the New First Missionary Baptist Church (NFMBC).  They graciously have rented us their historic chapel, allowing us to have a magnificent worship space.

We love music

Led by music director Elizabeth Galaida, our music program maximizes the resources we have. While we don’t have a choir every Sunday, each week features talented musicians. Between the traditional choir, our brass ensemble, the strummers, our folksy blues players, and special soloist and duets, each Sunday promises to have wonderful music that reinforces the message of the day. Our hymns and service music are mostly chosen from the 1982 Episcopal Hymnal and Lift Every Voice and Sing II.

Information you may want to know

The Eucharist (Receiving Communion)

When receiving communion at Saint Francis, we offer the Eucharist in both kinds.  If you would like to come up for a blessing and not receive either the host or the wine, simply cross your arms over your chest; that lets us know you prefer to receive a blessing only. When receiving the wine, you may drink from the chalice or intinct (dip the tip of the host into the wine).

Following every Sunday service, we have what is called Front Porch Fellowship.  It is during our Front Porch Fellowship that we will have an opportunity to greet both our guests and our fellow worshipers. We would love for you to join us.  Please sign the guest register and let us know if there are any questions you have or needs we can meet.

Parking

Saint Francis parking is on the left when facing the front doors of our church. NFMBC parking is to the right. We park on the grass and along the side road, Oak Island Road.

Bathrooms

While we have no bathrooms in our sanctuary, bathrooms may be found as you walk into the NFMBC sanctuary.
